A pub owner at Cork, Ireland This Week opened up about her decision to ban Oscar-nominated Colin Farrell from her pub in the 1990s and what prompted her to lift it more than a decade later.
Adrienne MacCarthy, who owns McCarthy’s Bartold a local radio station that she first kicked the 46-year-old actor out of her establishment when he was 19 and had just finished the Irish show ‘Ballykissangel’, reports the ‘Irish Mirror.
“It was 26 years ago, he was only 19, and he had just left acting school, he had finished Ballykissangel, he was three months old [here]”, said MacCarthy.
She added: “He had some wild times and at 19 we’re all wild and misbehaving. But after three months I just got a little sick of it. He was outrageous so I got it. had enough and I said, ‘Okay, that’s it, you’re out!'”

“We understand each other now and have come to an agreement. It’s just normal and down to earth,” she added.
The two have since become friends and the actor recently returned on a road trip with his 13-year-old son, the Mirror reported.
The ‘Batman’ actor was known as a hard party animal back in his early days, but has been sober since entering rehab in late 2005.

“Now he’s more into pilates, yoga and healthy living,” MacCarthy said, adding that they were “proud of him no matter what.”
Last month, Farrell received the Golden Globe for Best Actor for ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ and is nominated for a Academy Award.
