ESPN is in mourning on Super Bowl day as horrific news has emerged over the death of a longtime employee.

Dick Vitale once asked former producer Barry Sacks for prayers after he suffered a heart attack. Things took a turn for the worst as he tragically lost his life.

“So sad to announce that BARRY SACKS, our dear friend and former @espn colleague, passed away this morning from the massive heart attack he suffered – Barry was so respected by everyone who knew him in the ESPN family. Always had such a passion for everything he did. My heart goes out to his wife JoAnn and his family. CAN HE RIP!” he announced.”

His heart attack on Saturday proved too severe and he left this Earth on Sunday.

Prayers to his family.
