It looks like Apple is eating lunch, dinner, and breakfast from Android. According to a new report, Android Gen Z adoption is declining at an alarming rate, and one of Apple’s products appears to be largely responsible for the phenomenon.

  • According FinancialTimesGeneration Z (aka Zoomers, aka people born after 1996) increasingly prefer Apple iPhones over best android phonesespecially in the United States.
  • The report states that 34% of all iPhone owners in the United States belong to Generation Z.
  • This stat destroys Samsung’s share, which is only 10%.
  • This significant growth among Zoomers is part of the reason Apple has increased its overall US market share from 35% in 2019 to over 50% in 2022.
  • This growth comes even as the average price of an iPhone climbs to the $1,000 mark.
  • On that note, here are some excellent iPhone Deals you can verify.
  • Going back to the report, 83% of European iPhone users under 25 also say they will continue to use an iPhone.
  • If Gen Z abandons Android, it will only be a matter of time before Android begins to die a slow death.
  • It seems Apple’s iMessage is the main reason Gen Z are using more iPhones.
  • Zoomers don’t like that iMessage doesn’t work well with Android phones.

You can read more about the report here. We have also written extensively about this phenomenon, including how iMessage users exclude Android users from chats. In the meantime, here’s a handy summary of everything iOS does better than Android.

ChatGPTthe conversational AI bot, is now the author of complete books for people who go ahead and sell them on Amazon’s Kindle store.

  • According to a Reuters reportthere were over 200 e-books in the Amazon Kindle store as of mid-February listing ChatGPT as author or co-author.
  • Some of them include titles such as “How to write and create content using ChatGPT”, “The power of homework” and the poetry collection “Echoes of the Universe”.
  • A man also wrote a children’s book in a few hours, thanks to ChatGPT. It’s called “The Wise Little Squirrel: A Tale of Saving and Investing” and sells for between $2.99 โ€‹โ€‹and $9.99.
  • There’s even a new subgenre on Amazon: books on using ChatGPT, written entirely by ChatGPT.
  • But due to the nature of ChatGPT and the fact that many authors do not disclose that they have used it, it is almost impossible to get a full account of how many e-books the AI โ€‹โ€‹can write.
  • So the next time you buy that random Kindle e-book, you might be reading the works of a highly accomplished AI.

Hopefully the world of literature is not taken over by AI.
