Peacock announced that Alison Brie (someone i knew) and Jake Lacy (The White Lotus) have joined the cast of the upcoming limited drama series apples never falljoining previously announced Annette Bening (american beauty) and Sam Neil (jurassic park).

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel of the same name by author Liane Moriarty (big little lies, Nine perfect strangers), Apples Never Fall” centers on the Delaneys, who on the outside appear to be an enviable and contented family. Former tennis coaches Joy (Bening) and Stan (Neill) are parents to four adult children. After decades of marriage, they have finally sold their famous tennis academy and are ready to begin what should be the golden years of their lives.But after Joy’s disappearance, her children are forced to re-examine their parents’ marriage and family history with a fresh look.

Lacy was cast as Troy Delany, “the second oldest Delaney child whose competitive edge he developed as a young tennis player is now his greatest asset as a venture capitalist”.

Brie will play Amy Delaney, “the eldest of the Delaney children and the black sheep of the family. Always renting a room in a house for graduate students and jumping from one career path to another, Amy is a mess.

Melanie Marnich (The case) is a screenwriter and showrunner on apples never fallwhile David Heyman (Marriage story) and Moriarty are executive producers and Chris Sweeney (The tourist) will direct several episodes, including the first.
