For those who don’t remember, Undressed aired for Six Reasons during the heyday of MTV’s TRL era from 1999 to 2002 and featured vignettes that focused on the physical relationships of teenagers and young adults.

The low-budget scripted series didn’t shy away from addressing candid and explicit topics and also highlighted same-sex relationships in the same way as heterosexual relationships. Imagine sex and the city except not everyone is white, affluent and established.

Many of the show’s younger cast members would have bigger and brighter futures, including Christina Hendricks, Max Greenfield, Adam Brody, Jay Hernandez, Peter Paige, Nicholas Gonzalez, Jason Ritter and, of course, icon dad Pascal. .

During the show’s inaugural season, Pascal played Greg, a proud, proud man who began his adult life in Los Angeles.

A 24-year-old Pascal appeared in three episodes and was credited at the time as Pedro Balmaceda. His real name is José Pedro Balmaceda Pascal.

Fans on the internet recently discovered Pascal’s queer TV past and created a reel of some of his “best” Undressed scenes. Linked together, the out-of-context lines don’t make much sense, but that makes it even better.

Throughout the clip, Pascal emphatically drops zingers like “not everyone can be Mr. Gay Pride” and “gay, with a weird fetish,” but that’s his statement of “please be either you’re gay or you’re not”. and adding “period” at the end which may even give Cardi B. Period pause!

Through a 2023 lens Undressed may sound cheesy and corny, but his role in de-stigmatizing everything from masturbation and queer sex to STDs and threesomes was invaluable to many pre-social media youth in the 90s.

As Pascal continued to make a major breakthrough in the acting world, his “The Last of Us” co-star Gabriel Luna queer banter on real detective was also recently revisited. It’s hard to avoid paid homosexuality in Hollywood!
